Aveley fire being treated as suspicious

Arson Squad Detectives are currently investigating a bush fire that occurred in Aveley yesterday, Saturday 5 May 2018.

Just after 4pm, Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to a bush fire on land located between Wistful Parade, Kitcliffe Way and Zanzibar Loop.

Strong winds spread the fire in a southerly direction and the fire burnt 25 hectares of land.

Arson Squad Detectives are treating the fires as suspicious and are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam vision of people in the area at the time, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to make a report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au

Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
