Work progressing on Eaton Community Hub

The Eaton Community Hub project is a step closer to fruition, with $2 million allocated in the State Budget to assist with developing Eaton Bowls Club into a multi-purpose community hub.

The Eaton Community Hub concept is designed to provide a shared space for local events and activities. The Eaton area is currently lacking a dedicated facility for local clubs to gather, private functions to be held, and other social events to take place.

Eaton Bowls Club has begun integrating other community clubs and social organisations into the facility, as it looks to diversify user groups and increase public use of the club.

The $2 million funcding includes $1.95 million for redevelopment works in 2018-19, and a $50,000 allocation to assist the club in planning and costing the redevelopment.
