Police search for witnesses to fatal motorcycle crash in Nannup

Major Crash investigators are seeking information regarding a fatal crash in Nannup yesterday, Saturday 10 March 2018.

Around 2:30pm, a man was riding a black 2015 model Harley Davidson motorcycle west along Brockman Highway with a group of motorcycle riders. Approximately 5kms east of Nannup he lost control of his motorcycle which left the road and struck a tree stump. The motorcycle was propelled back onto the highway.

A second motorcycle rider who was travelling with the group on a blue 2015 model Harley Davidson, struck the first motorcycle that was stationary on the highway. Both men were thrown from their motorcycles.

The first rider, a 48 year old man received critical injuries in the crash and was conveyed by ambulance to Bridgetown Hospital before being airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital where he died.

The second rider, a 45 year old man received minor injuries and was treated at Nannup Hospital.
