New chairperson for WA Planning Commission

The new chairperson for the State’s planning commission has been confirmed with David Caddy appointed to the role.

Mr Caddy will today be appointed to the office of chairperson for the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) by Her Excellency the Honourable Kerry Sanderson AC, Governor of Western Australia, for a three-year term starting on April 16, 2018.

He has more than 40 years of professional planning and leadership experience in the private and public sectors.

For almost 30 years, he has served as managing director, and more recently senior director, of The Planning Group Australia Pty Ltd (TPG + Place Match), consulting on a number of key State Government redevelopment projects.

Mr Caddy will lead the WAPC as it reforms land use planning in WA to create an accessible, streamlined and strategic planning system.
