Two Cable Beach houses damaged in fires

Broome Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance with information to assist with their investigation into two house fires that occurred in Cable Beach recently.

The Broome Volunteer Fire Service and Police were called to a house fire on Taji Road around 8:30pm on 9 February 2018. The fire damaged two bedrooms in the home before being extinguished. The cost of the damage is estimated at approximately $25,000.

Around 1:20am on 10 February 2018, the Broome Volunteer Fire Service and Police were called to another house fire on Reid Road. Approximately $15,000 damage was done to the house.

The homes were unoccupied at the time of the fires and detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the cause of the fires.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who was in the above areas around the time of the fires who saw any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles.
