Grants to support WA’s vibrant multicultural celebrations

Western Australia’s cultural calendar will be as vibrant as ever in 2018 with $129,000 in grants being awarded by the WA Government for multicultural events across the State.

Distributed via the Office of Multicultural Interests’ (OMI) Community Grants Program, the funding will support some of our community’s most popular celebrations including the South West Multicultural Festival, the Swan Festival of Lights and the Hellenic Community’s Glendi festival.

Smaller grants will support community events during Harmony Week, which runs from March 15 to 21, 2018 and is a time for Western Australians to celebrate and reflect on the benefits of multiculturalism.

OMI’s Community Grants Program gives culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities, and the organisations that support them, the opportunity to access funding for events, projects and programs that support social cohesion and community development.
