State Government and community sector leaders working together

At the inaugural Supporting Communities Forum today, Premier Mark McGowan and Community Services Minister Simone McGurk will meet with the newly appointed members.

The forum brings together leaders of the community services sector and the State Government to provide advice on the implementation of the McGowan Government’s Supporting Communities election commitment.

Forum members will provide advice on:

  • breaking down barriers between government departments and community organisations;
  • improving the procurement process for community services;
  • working together to deliver measurable outcomes for the community, and
  • communicating this work to the broader public.

A list of the forum’s membership, which includes representatives from across Western Australia as well as prominent Aboriginal leaders, can be found here.
