Police Minister Michelle Roberts today announced an increase in the reward on offer, for information about the suspected murder of Lisa Govan.
Ms Govan, who was 28 years old at the time of her disappearance, vanished from the vicinity of Kalgoorlie’s Foundry Hotel 18 years ago.
At the time, the hotel on Boulder Road was adjacent to the clubhouse of the Club Deroes bikie gang.
Police have confirmed Ms Govan was last seen alive near the hotel’s bottle shop about 7.30am on October 8, 1999.
Detectives fear Ms Govan was the victim of foul play, but despite extensive enquiries her body has never been found.
A $50,000 reward was posted a year after her disappearance.
Cold Case Homicide Detectives approached the State Government to request a $200,000 increase, following an extensive review of the case.
A fresh investigation has been launched and this week detectives from the Cold Case Homicide Squad will be in Kalgoorlie talking to witnesses and gathering evidence.
