Latest figures from the 2016 Census show that the performing arts and sports sectors are the fastest growing providers of jobs in Western Australia.
The 2016 Census figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) indicate there has been a 25 per cent increase in people employed in the arts and recreational services industry in WA.
The ABS reported that one of the stand-out trends was the increase of 25 per cent in the number of people who recorded that they were employed in the arts and recreational services industry – including fitness centres, sport and performing arts.
