Local projects create local jobs in Balcatta and Osborne Park

Three Balcatta and Osborne Park sports clubs will get revitalised clubrooms to the value of $85,000 thanks to the McGowan Government’s Local Projects, Local Jobs initiative.

The Osborne Park Bowling Club has secured $50,000 to spruce up their clubrooms, Balcatta Football Club will receive $25,000 for club improvements and Osborne Park Cricket Club will get upgrades and new equipment to the value of $10,000.

Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray today joined Balcatta MLA David Michael at Balcatta Football Club to announce the community funding, which will strengthen grassroots sport in the City of Stirling.

Mr Michael led the local campaign for the upgrades, including $85,000 in funding for the projects as part of his commitments at the 2017 State Election.

The McGowan Government’s Local Projects, Local Jobs initiative will fund more than 200 community sport and recreation projects across the State, creating jobs and building stronger and healthier communities.
