Serious Bedford Crash

Major Crash Investigators are seeking information regarding a serious crash in Bedford this morning, Sunday 30 July 2017.

About 8:50am Police were called to a crash on Grand Promenade, near Catherine Street in Bedford. A white BMW was being driven south on Grand Promenade. A gold Holden Astra was being driven north on Grand Promenade at the same time. The two directions of traffic are separated by a median island.

The two vehicles collided in the north bound lanes of Grand Promenade.

The driver of the white BMW, a 46 year old man, was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be serious. The passenger in the BMW, an 18 year old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. His injuries are believed to be life-threatening at this time.

The driver of the gold Holden Astra, an 85 year old woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Her injuries are believed to be life-threatening at this time.
