Businesses in the Perth metro area will be able to open from 8am to 6pm during the public holidays of WA Day (Monday, 4 June 2018) and the Queen’s Birthday (Monday, 24 September 2018).
These hours are consistent with previous retail trading extensions on public holidays.
An application for additional trading hours was received from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of WA. Trading during period is discretionary for retailers but the extension will now give them the option to open earlier or close later depending on the demand from their customers.
