Thief threatens store worker with blow torch

Kensington Detectives are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Cannington on Monday, 28 March 2018.

Around 3:50pm, a man entered a large stationery store located on Albany Highway. Whilst looking at various items he has taken a digital set top box and placed it under his shirt. As he attempted to leave the store without paying for the item, he was challenged by a staff member. The man threatened to burn the staff member with a gas lighter/blow torch.

The man fled the area on a BMX bicycle. He is described as being in his early 20s, fair skinned, with a slim build, approximately 180cm tall, medium length reddish brown hair in dread locks and light coloured facial hair.

He was wearing black pants, a black long sleeve hoodie with white writing down the arm, a black hat and black sneakers with white bottoms.
