Man, 86, charged over Child Sex Abuse Royal Commission allegations

Narrogin Detectives have charged an 86 year old man as a result of their investigation into historic child sexual abuse allegations stemming from the Royal Commission into Institutional Response to Child Sex Abuse.

It is alleged between 1984 and 1985 the man sexually assaulted a boy who was 13 year of age at the time of the first offence. The man was the boy’s assigned Welfare Officer from the Department of Communities.

The man from Gooseberry Hill has been charged with five counts of Indecent Dealing with a Child under 14 years of age.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 9 February 2018.
