Premier League powerhouse Chelsea Football Club will play Perth Glory at Optus Stadium on Monday July 23, 2018 in front of a crowd of more than 60,000 fans, with tickets on sale next Thursday (February 15).
The match will be Chelsea FC’s only appearance in Australia, with tickets to the blockbuster friendly expected to sell out quickly. The match will attract a significant number of interstate and international visitors to travel to Perth, filling our hotel rooms and experiencing what our city has to offer.
The match will be the first international soccer club appearance at the stadium and the first time Chelsea has been to Perth since 1974.
The deal, struck by Tourism Western Australia in partnership with Optus Stadium operator VenuesLive, includes other activity by Chelsea FC in Perth, including open training sessions where fans will have the chance to see players up close.
