Government establishes Bunbury Development Committee

A new Bunbury Development Committee has been established to ensure cross-government and stakeholder co-ordination is delivered efficiently to create better community outcomes on transformational projects.

The new committee will guide three key Bunbury projects and assist in growing Bunbury to become Western Australia’s vibrant second city.

The Bunbury Development Committee will initially co-ordinate three key projects – the Bunbury Waterfront, Withers central community area and Glen Iris redevelopment.

Reporting to Planning and Lands Minister Rita Saffioti, the Committee will provide strategic advice to ensure delivery of effective and timely outcomes on key projects.

The Bunbury Development Committee will include:

  • Chairperson, Robyn Fenech;
  • Community representative, Geoff Klem;
  • CCI representative, David Kerr;
  • Indigenous representative, Sharon Cooke;
  • Business representative, Stan Liaros;
  • Business representative, Tegan Davis;
  • City of Bunbury Mayor, Gary Brennan; and
  • Former Member for Bunbury, John Castrilli.

Decisions will build on already completed planning work and will be made in consultation with the community and relevant stakeholders.
