Detectives from the Arson Squad’s Strike Force Vulcan are seeking the public’s assistance with their investigation into a suspicious bushfire that occurred in Kings Park today, Tuesday 30 January 2018.
Just before 1am, Department of Fire and Emergency Services and police were called to the fire which is believed to have started in bushland near a gravel track located between May Drive and the tennis club.
The fire travelled in a westerly direction to Thomas Road, fanned by strong easterly winds.
Investigators are asking anyone with any information relating to this fire, or who saw any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area between 12:30am and 1am, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au
Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
