300 more airline seats a day coming into Perth on Qatar

Qatar Airways will start flying A380 aircraft on its Perth route from May 1 next year.

The introduction of the 517-seat, double storey aircraft means a 44 per cent boost in passenger capacity, equating to 300 extra seats a day or more than 115,000 seats a year.

Qatar Airways already flies daily to Perth from several locations, via Doha, including Paris and London.

The introduction of the A380 also means an enhanced passenger service including the introduction of Qatar Airways’ First Class cabin.

Qatar Airways has been flying to Perth since July 2012, starting with three flights a week but moving quickly to a daily service in December of the same year.
