30 contracts have been awarded to Western Australian small businesses to supply food and consumables to Optus Stadium.
New West Foods (seafood), Little Home Bakery (bread), Morley Growers (fruit and vegetables), Total Food Distributors (meat), Mahogany Creek Distributors (poultry and game), Mondo Meats (meat), Oil 2 U (oil) and Food Packaging Australia are among the local businesses which have secured stadium supply.
New West Foods will distribute more than 200 tonnes of frozen potato chips to the stadium annually, as well as large volumes of prawns from Exmouth, barramundi from Derby and crabs from Geraldton.
Each year, Food Packaging Australia will supply the stadium with more than 500,000 hot chip containers, 200,000 burger boxes and 1.5 million beer cups.
Thanks to these WA businesses, 60,000 fans on major event days plus thousands of guests attending conferences, gala dinners and other special events throughout the world-class venue will be eating top quality local produce.
