Victoria Police, the Australian Federal Police and the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO), which form the Joint Counter Terrorism Team, have executed further warrants today as part of an ongoing operation in Melbourne.

Warrants have been executed this morning at residential properties in Tarneit, Coolaroo, Glenroy and Berwick as part of Operation San Jose.
A 20-year-old Werribee man was arrested in Werribee by members of the Victoria Police Special Operations Group just before 3pm on Monday 27 November.
He was charged yesterday with Acts in Preparation to Commit a Terrorist Attack and Collecting Documents to Facilitate a Terrorist Act, contrary to the Commonwealth Criminal Code Act.
The man subsequently faced Melbourne Magistrate’s Court where he was remanded in custody until 13 March, 2018.
Warrants were also executed on Monday at two residential properties in Werribee and Meadow Heights, as well as a commercial property in Footscray.
It was alleged the man arrested was involved in undertaking preparations for planning a terrorist act in Melbourne on New Year’s Eve this year.
While the operation is ongoing, the main lines of enquiry have been completed and at this time police do not anticipate further arrests.
Furthermore, the arrest is not linked to any previous operational activity.
Victoria Police and the Australian Federal Police would like to reassure the community that the threat has been contained and there is no on-going risk posed by this individual.
Victoria has well tested, cooperative, counter terrorism and emergency management plans in place and constantly monitor and assess our preparedness to respond to a range of emergencies.
