Perth City discounts parking for Christmas

City of Perth Parking (CPP) has introduced a special day rate in an effort to support local business and retail during the Christmas period.

From today through until 29 December 2017, four CPP locations will offer $10 weekday parking.

Deputy Lord Mayor Jemma Green said the offer is valid for Terrace Road, Pier Street, State Library and the Cultural Centre car parks from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

“The Administration’s decision to implement a discounted day rate is expected to encourage people into the city to do their Christmas shopping, and inject spending into the local economy over the six week period,” Dr Green said.

“The move works in conjunction with the State Government’s approval of extended trading hours for the festive season.

“This parking special allows the City to strategically support local business and retail, while continuing to ensure the financial sustainability of CPP.”
