Results of a survey, soon to be sent to all Swan Valley residents and businesses, will help inform the current review of planning frameworks for the area.
The Swan Valley community has been asked to keep an eye on their letterbox, with the survey set to be delivered as part of the next phase of the Swan Valley planning review.
The planning review is underpinned by the WA Government’s $1.4 million for the Swan Valley Development Package – which following the review includes the development of a co-ordinated strategy for the Swan Valley to provide a major boost to tourism and jobs in the area.
The survey presents an opportunity for the people and businesses of Swan Valley to articulate their views and aspirations for the future of the region.
John Kobelke, who is heading up the review, has already gained an insight into the issues important to the community through a series of targeted one-on-one stakeholder meetings. He is now inviting locals to participate in a written survey.
Participation in the survey will enable each household and landowner to participate in the review, as well as update comments or views provided in earlier public consultation.
Surveys will be sent to every address in the gazetted Swan Valley area in the week beginning Monday, November 20. Participants will have until Friday December 15, 2017 to return their surveys.
