The McGowan Labor Government has delivered on its election commitment to provide $746,000 to upgrade facilities on the western side of the popular HBF Arena in Joondalup.
The western side of the Arena is used by four sporting codes – netball, rugby union, Little Athletics and triathlon – which share the facilities.
Works on the two new water fountains, extensions to the existing perimeter fencing and the installation of a storage facility are expected to be completed by the end of next month.
The tender process is currently underway for two extra change rooms and an additional storage area.
These upgrades, set to benefit Joondalup Brothers Rugby Union Football Club, Joondalup Little Athletics, Joondalup Netball Association and Team XTR Tri Club Triathlon, are expected to be completed by April 2018.
