$4 million funding boost for homeless and youth services

St Vincent de Paul Society Western Australia has received a timely funding boost of $4 million for two of its services from the McGowan Labor Government.

Tom Fisher House, an acute homeless night shelter in Highgate, has been awarded a five-year service agreement worth more than $750,000 per annum. The funding will enable the service to provide safe and supported overnight accommodation for up to 12 people a night who would otherwise be sleeping rough on the street.

Additionally, a grant of $250,000 is being provided to the Society to assist with the operating costs of their Passages Resource Centre in Mandurah. This service provides drop-in and referral services to young people aged between 12 and 25.
