World experts in Perth to tackle road trauma

Experts from around the world are meeting at the biggest road safety conference in the southern hemisphere.

The 2017 Australasian Road Safety Conference is being held at Perth’s Crown complex from October 10-12.

Over three days, researchers, practitioners, policy-makers and industry leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region will examine:

  • Road safety management;
  • Infrastructure;
  • Safe vehicles;
  • User behaviour; and
  • Post-crash care.

Former US National Highway Traffic Safety Administrator Dr Mark Rosekind, who now heads safety innovation at autonomous vehicle start-up Zoox Inc., will also address delegates.

The 2017 conference is presented in partnership by the Australasian College of Road Safety, Austroads, ARRB and Curtin Monash Accident Research Centre.
