The spotlight will be on safety and health in Western Australia’s resources sector at the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety’s Awards for Excellence ceremony on Thursday October 26, 2017.
A total of 13 finalists have been chosen for the 2017 Safety and Health Resources Sector Awards, all have demonstrated a variety of ways workplaces can focus on personal safety and mental wellbeing.
The awards recognise individuals, teams and companies that have developed a new initiative or an original solution to safety and health problems in the workplace.
Key learnings from these projects can be shared with the broader industry and will promote better practices in the workplace.
The awards will be presented along with the Community Partnership Resources Sector Award and the Golden Gecko Award for Environmental Excellence.
