Western Australia’s own Gage Roads Brewing Co. has secured the beer and cider supply contract for Perth Stadium.
The Palmyra-based company beat out competition from the Eastern States to secure the five-year deal with Perth Stadium – complementing the $22 million, the company already injects into hundreds of WA businesses each year.
The deal will support the existing Gage Roads Brewing Co. southern suburbs workforce of 85 employees and as well as a range of other WA companies, including farmers, manufacturers, logistics providers and the hospitality industry.
Gage Roads Brewing Co. is the biggest buyer of Western Australian grown malted barley, the majority of which is grown in the Wheatbelt enabling 11 million litres of beer and cider to be produced each year.
The contract award means Western Australians will be able to enjoy beer and cider brewed in their own backyard when enjoying sporting events and concerts at the $1.46 billion Perth Stadium.
The appointment by Stadium Operator, VenuesLive followed a competitive tender process and the McGowan Government hopes more jobs will be created as part of other contracts for work at the new stadium.
