Culture and the Arts Minister David Templeman has announced that the Goldfields Arts Centre will continue to operate thanks to a new deal being negotiated between the State Government and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
Under the proposed arrangement, responsibility for the centre will be transferred to the Perth Theatre Trust which will issue a five-year lease to the City to operate the facility.
The State Government will fund and deliver ongoing maintenance, and the City will be responsible for managing the centre.
