Child Abuse Squad detectives have charged a 54 year old man as a result of their investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse.
It will be alleged in July 2017 the man sexually assaulted a 12 year old boy. The man met the victim through his mother who the man befriended and it is further alleged the man groomed the boy over a 10 month period.
The man from Churchlands has been charged with:-
• Two counts of Sexual Penetration of a Child under 13 years;
• Two counts of Attempted Sexual Penetration of a Child under 13 years; and
• Four counts of Indecent Dealing of a Child under 13 years of age.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, Friday 28 July 2017.
