Seasonal climate outlook for April-June released

The Bureau of Meteorology has released its monthly and seasonal climate outlooks for April to June 2017.

For the months ahead, the outlook indicates below-average rainfall is likely for the southern two-thirds of the mainland, and it will be wetter in the far north.

Daytime temperatures are likely to be warmer than average except in northern and far eastern parts of the country.

Climate influences include continued warming in the tropical Pacific Ocean, cooler-than-average waters in the eastern Indian Ocean, and a cooling Coral Sea.
