Latest on the Bunnings Inglewood fire situation: Bunnings Inglewood fire contained but road closures still in place


The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) has issued a Hazmat General Warning for the area around Bunnings, Inglewood.

Firefighters are evacuating residents on Seventh Avenue and Eighth Avenue. A fire in a hardware store is resulting in potentially dangerous smoke blowing over Inglewood and surrounding suburbs including Bayswater, Bedford, Embleton and Morley.

There is a direct threat to lives and homes.

Avoid the area and be aware of fire and emergency servcies personnel working on site.
