New lifesaving equipment for Scarboro surf club

The Scarboro Surf Life Saving Club will be fitted out with new furniture, equipment and information technology in support of its essential services and beach patrols, thanks to a $300,000 Lotterywest grant.

The grant will help complete the fit-out of the new $13.3 million Scarboro Surf Life Saving Club building, ensuring the club can continue to provide critical, volunteer-based lifesaving services.

Sport and Recreation and Volunteering Minister Mick Murray visited Scarboro Surf Life Saving Club to deliver the grant ahead of the club’s upcoming move into the new facility.

The new surf club building is part of the wider $100 million Scarborough foreshore revitalisation project, funded by the State Government and the City of Stirling.
