Premier launches new web series to commemorate the end of the Centenary of Anzac

Premier Mark McGowan will today launch a new web series to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.

The Premier will interview veterans, school students and community members throughout the year, exploring the importance of marking the end of the Centenary of Anzac (2014-18).

Broadcast today on the Premier’s Facebook account, with links also available on Twitter and Instagram, the first interview features 100-year-old World War II veteran John ‘JJ’ Wade. As one of the last surviving ‘Rats of Tobruk’, Mr Wade continues to be an active member of the veteran community, serving as committee president of the 2/28th Battalion and 24th Anti-Tank Company Association.

The web series is one of several initiatives and events to be launched this year to commemorate the Centenary of Anzac, including:
