Unit destroyed by suspicious fire in Broome

Broome Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance with information to assist with their investigation into a unit fire on Sunday, 22 April 2018.

Around 9:45am, Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to reports of a fire at the unit located on Forrest Street. The fire destroyed the unit and caused minor damage to a neighbouring unit.

The damaged bill is estimated at $300,000.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and detectives would like to speak to anyone who was in area around the time of the fire, or earlier in the day who saw any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles.
