Man chased from Beechboro bottle shop after attempted robbery

Police are investigating an Attempted Armed Robbery that occurred in Beechboro on Sunday 15 April 2018.

At around 6pm a male riding a pushbike has entered the drive-thru bottle shop on Altone Road. At the time he was armed with two large knives and threatened staff and customers. After being confronted by a customer the man fled on foot heading south along Altone Road.

The man is described as slim build, light/fair skinned who had his face covered with a black cloth with silver motif. He was wearing a white t-shirt with wide blue strips on the back, light brown shorts and a black baseball cap, black socks and black Nike shoes.At the time he was wearing a black sock with yellow coloured flashes on his toes and heel on his right hand.

Investigators would like to speak to witnesses specifically;

  • The customer who was on foot in the bottle shop and chased the man from the premises.
  • The driver and passenger of the white Commodore that was in the drive-thru at the time of incident.
