Community services improved thanks to Lotterywest

Three community organisations have merged to form Chorus Australia – bringing together almost 1,000 employees and volunteers in support of the aged care, disability and mental health sectors.

Chorus Australia was presented with a $506,000 Lotterywest grant by the State Government in Mandurah this week to assist with the amalgamation.

The organisations – Community First International, Volunteer Task Force and Care Options – will now operate together under the Chorus Australia umbrella, as part of moves to improve their ability to serve some of the community’s most vulnerable.

The grant will enable the introduction of a new service model for a range of services to more than 10,000 people in need across the metropolitan, Peel and South-West regions.

The organisations will be fully integrated under the Chorus Australia umbrella by June 2018.
