Police searching for train surfer who jumped into Swan River

Police Transport Unit officers are investigating an incident at the North Fremantle Train Station on Saturday 7 April 2018.

Around 10.20am, a man was seen walking north on Stirling Highway, before loitering in the carpark of the train station for several minutes. The man was then seen to jump over a fence, crossing the railway tracks and climbing up the outside of a recently arrived Fremantle bound train. A short time later, the man jumped from the moving train into the Swan River at the Fremantle rail bridge.

The man is described as light skinned, medium build, 25-35 years of age and with ginger hair. At the time he was shirtless, wearing only dark coloured shorts and sneakers.

Police have release CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
