Bentley marks Harmony Week with free family festival

Hedley Park in Bentley will come alive with music, performances and food stalls at the annual Bentley Harmony Festival this Saturday.

Now in its seventh year, the popular family festival will feature an extensive program of interactive cultural performances and entertainment representing the rich heritage of Bentley and the surrounding community.

The festival is co-ordinated by Bentley Community Focus and is a community-led event with participation from many local businesses and community groups.

More than 2,500 people are expected to attend the event, which is being supported with $13,500 from the Office of Multicultural Interests and the Department of Communities.

The Bentley Harmony Festival is one of the many events happening around the State to mark Harmony Week, which gives everyone an opportunity to explore and appreciate Western Australia’s wealth of cultural, faith, linguistic and ethnic diversity.
