Science boost for primary school students in Kingsley

Students from Dalmain Primary School in Kingsley are set to benefit from a new science lab as part of a $17 million ‘Science in Schools’ State Government funding program that will see 200 primary school classrooms transformed into science laboratories by 2021.

Premier Mark McGowan discussed plans for the new lab with Dalmain Primary School staff and students today while visiting the classroom which will be converted.

The school will also receive $25,000 to purchase laboratory equipment and resources such as 3D models of the solar system and human anatomy, digital microscopes, 3D printers, virtual reality headsets, robotics kits and renewable energy kits.

Schools were selected based on their plans to grow and improve science education to skill students for the jobs of the future.
