Multiple people to front court after drug operation

Carnarvon Detectives have charged several people in relation to their ongoing operation targeting the activities of a suspected criminal gang dealing in illicit drugs in the Geraldton, Carnarvon, Karratha, and Port Hedland areas.

Continued inquiries into the activities of Naala Moort gang members resulted in two men being further charged with serious drug offences. A 43 year old man has been charged with 49 counts of Property Laundering; and a 44 year old man has been charged with nine counts of Property Laundering; and four counts of offences related to the Sale and Supply of Prohibited Drugs. They are due to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court tomorrow, 21 March 2018.

Ongoing investigations targeting drug supply chains lead to Carnarvon Detectives executing six search warrants at residences in Morgantown, Brockman and South Carnarvon. During the searches multiple items were seized including illicit drugs, drug paraphernalia, communication equipment and Naala Moort clothing.

A 53 year old woman from Morgantown has been charged with:

  • 112 counts of offences related to the Sale and Supply of Prohibited Drugs;
  • 29 counts of Property Laundering;
  • Two counts of Possess Drug Paraphernalia; and
  • Two counts of Possess Prohibited Drug.

She is due to appear in the Carnarvon Magistrates Court on 6 March 2018.

A 43 year old woman from Brockman has been charged with:

  • 20 counts of offences related to the Sale and Supply of Prohibited Drugs.

She is due to appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on 19 March 2018.

A 52 year old woman from Brockman is due to appear in court at a later date on drug and weapon offences.
