Sam Kerr’s Matildas to take on Thailand in first-ever WA match

International football superstar and Young Australian of the Year, Sam Kerr will join the Matildas for their first-ever Western Australian game when they play Thailand at nib Stadium on March 26, 2018.

The match will be the Matildas’ farewell friendly before jetting off to Jordan for the 2018 Asian Cup.

The State Government has also secured a week-long Matildas training camp following the friendly, where local junior players will have the chance to meet and rub shoulders with their heroes.

The match will be the first opportunity for WA football fans to see reigning Young Australian of the Year, Asian Women’s Footballer of the Year and US National Women’s Soccer League MVP Sam Kerr in Matildas colours in her home town.

Tickets to the match go on sale at 9am (WST) tomorrow (February 15), and will be available from https://matildas.footballaustralia.com.au
