Mentoring program launched for women in resources

The M4DLink Women in Resources Mentoring Program was launched yesterday at Mining Indaba 2018 in South Africa.

The program is a partnership of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Minerals and Energy for Development Alliance.

Its mission is to support women that manage gender diversity programs in the resources industries and help them become leaders in the sector.

Western Australia is well-equipped to mentoring workers with its large number of mining companies already operating in Africa and its reputation for being a world-leader in mining and technology services.

Out of the 134 ASX-listed companies operating in Africa, 92 are based in WA developing 231 mining projects in 29 African countries.
