$20 million contract to help keep WA Aboriginal children out of care

With a strong commitment to addressing the rising number of Aboriginal children in care, the State Government has announced the successful $20 million tender to provide Aboriginal in-home support services.

A consortium of four Noongar Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) has won the contract. The Wungening Aboriginal Corporation will be the lead agency with Ebenezer Home, Moorditj Koort and Coolabaroo Community Services also providing specialist services.

The Aboriginal In-home Support Service will be established in four locations in the metropolitan area – Mirrabooka/Joondalup, Cannington/Armadale, Perth/Midland and Fremantle/Rockingham.
