New group to power Collie into the future

The WA Government has today announced the Collie Futures Economic Advisory Committee to identify, consider and recommend projects seeking a financial helping hand through the $20 million Collie Futures Fund.

The Collie Futures Fund aims to diversify Collie’s economy and provide long-term employment security.

The first stage of the fund, the Collie Futures Small Grants Program, will help to get off the ground projects that aim to stimulate the local economy and support community needs.

Up to $2 million in funding will be made available through the Collie Futures Small Grants Program to provide seed funding for economy building projects, and for the development of business cases and feasibility studies.

Collie-Preston MLA Mick Murray will chair the committee, which will comprise of representatives from local industry, community and government.
