Men arrested over Hillarys shopping centre burglary

Joondalup Detectives have arrested two men as a result of their investigation into a burglary at several jewellery stores located within a shopping centre in Hillarys on Sunday 31 December 2017.

It is alleged around 4:45am, the men have forced entry into the shopping centre on Marmion Avenue. They proceeded through the shopping centre smashing windows to gain entry into several jewellery stores where they smashed display cabinets and stole a large amount of watches.

A 31 year old man from Girrawheen and a 33 year old man from Alexander Heights were charged with:

  • One count of Aggravated Burglary with Intent;
  • Two counts of Aggravated Burglary and Commit; and
  • Two counts of Stealing.

They are next due to appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on 12 February and 24 January 2018 respectively.
