Visitors travelling to Rottnest Island from midday will benefit from a discount on admission fees in January 2018.
Running from January 1 to 31, ‘Rotto from Day to Dusk’ will see adults pay half price admission fees ($9) and free admittance for children arriving on the island after midday.
The commencement of a third ferry provider and new timetabling means visitors can stay later on the island, with the last ferry departing at 8pm.
To encourage families and visitors to stay later in the evening, the Settlement Mall will also be transformed into a lively space on Saturday nights including picnic tables and live music.
The discount is extended to visitors landing in the reserve after 12pm by ferry, chartered boats and the general boating community on day trips.
