Ashfield Primary School celebrates a decade as a Waterwise school

Water Minister Dave Kelly today thanked teachers and students at Ashfield Primary School for their dedication to the Water Corporation’s Waterwise Schools Program.

The school was recognised during a special assembly for being part of the Waterwise Schools Program for 10 years, educating thousands of students on the importance of saving water.

The Waterwise Schools Program takes a long-term approach to water education and behavioural change, and complements the curriculum across all major learning areas.

Over the past 22 years, 571 Waterwise Schools have been recognised across the State.

Working with the community to reduce water use forms part of the Water Corporation’s long-term Water Forever plans to secure water supplies, as climate change continues to have an impact in Western Australia.
