Witnesses sought to fatal pedestrian crash in Bateman

Major Crash officers investigating a fatal traffic crash involving a 42 year old male pedestrian on Leach Highway in Bateman on Thursday 16 November 2017 are still seeking witnesses to the incident.

Investigators are attempting to create a timeline of events prior and after to the man being struck by a vehicle, and wish to speak to anyone who may have been driving on Leach Highway in Bateman near to the Bull Creek Bus/Train Station on Thursday morning 16 November 2017 between midnight and 12.20am.

Police have already spoken to a number of drivers and have been provided valuable dash cam and CCTV footage. Information from those images have revealed a number of other vehicles including trucks that were in the area at the time of the crash that have not yet been identified.

A truck that was previously seized by police is still being examined, and a 50 year old man continues to assist police with inquiries. No charges have been laid, and the investigation remains ongoing.
