New resources for community language students

The Chung Wah community language school in Leeming is undertaking significant upgrades with funding of $20,000 through the WA Government’s Local Projects, Local Jobs initiative.

The community school, which has more than 300 pupils, will use the funding to update the contents of its library as well as improving audiovisual and technical resources to provide a more dynamic and interactive learning experience.

The school will also develop an app to enhance teacher and parent communication and connectivity.

The Chung Wah community language school in Leeming was established in 1991 and teaches Mandarin and Chinese culture. It is staffed mainly with community volunteers.
