Tickets to Perth Stadium official opening available this Thursday

Western Australians are urged to secure their free tickets to the official opening of Perth Stadium via the Perth Stadium website from 9am, Thursday, November 9.

Premier Mark McGowan announced in September 2017 that the official opening of the venue would be a free Open Day on Sunday, January 21, 2018.

An initial 70,000 tickets will be available, which will be divided into one-hour sessions across the event, with a maximum of six tickets per customer.

Ticket holders will have the opportunity to browse and explore the features of the stadium and experience the fans first facilities that have been integrated into the design.

It will be the first opportunity for fans to test out the stadium, take in the magnificent views of the playing surface, the city and the Swan River, and see where their favourite team will run out from onto the ground.

Each session will also feature a stunning audio-visual show incorporating the stadium’s two giant screens – the largest stadium super screens in the southern hemisphere.

Ticket holders will also enjoy all the Stadium Park has to offer, including public art, nature playgrounds in the Chevron Parkland, the BHP Boardwalk plus a range of family activities, entertainment, food and live music.

Public transport to and from the Open Day will also be free of charge and included in the ticket, giving fans the opportunity to be the first to use the world-class train and bus facilities.

Following the official opening on Sunday, January 21, 2018, Perth Stadium will host an AFL Women’s fixture in February, two Ed Sheeran concerts and the Perth NRL double header in March followed by the start of the 2018 AFL season.
